take time off 抽空、抽時間

說明：

take off 是 phrasal verb，當 vt 用，一定要分拆開來用，即不能寫成 take off time。

take off 在此不是解作「脫掉」，而是解作「抽身而退」。全句是說由時間中抽身而出，以便做某樣事情。

例子：

Forget your job, Danny. You should take time off to see your son. He is seriously ill.
